Halloumi Saganaki

Ingredients

  • 225g/8oz block halloumi cheese hard
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 lemon

Method
  1. Cut the halloumi into 1cm thick slices 
  2. Dip the halloumi slices in the beaten egg & the sesame seeds
  3. Fry on a medium heat for a couple of minutes on each side until golden-brown
  4. Serve warm with a squeeze of fresh lemon
